How to Update FASTag KYC?


If FASTags KYC is not updated by February 29, banks will terminate or blacklist accounts without complete KYC information. In reaction to recent complaints of the issuing of multiple FASTags for single cars and the issuing of FASTags without KYC, which is against RBI standards, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has taken this action.

How to upgrade from a non-KYC customer to a complete KYC customer using FASTag KYC updates

As per the instructions on the Indian Highway Management Company (IHML) website, kindly update fastag KYC as per these steps: 

  • You may access the IHMCL customer portal by using the dedicated customer web portal at https://fastag.ihmcl.com. To log in, use your registered mobile number, password, or OTP-based validation.
  • After choosing the "My Profile" option from the Dashboard's menu on the left side, the "My Profile" page will appear.You may view the progress of your KYC as well as all the profile information you supplied throughout the registration process on the "My Profile" page.
  • Select the 'KYC' subsection adjacent to the 'Profile' section.
  • The "Customer Type" must be chosen in the "KYC" subsection.
  • Complete the appropriate areas with your passport-size photo, address (as per address proof), and the necessary ID proof and address proof papers.
  • Check the required box next to "Declaration: I/We attest that the documents attached are genuine." "I/We possess the original documents" in order to continue with the KYC verification procedure.

Your KYC will be finished no later than seven working days from the date of your request for an upgrade. After submitting a request, you may check the status of your KYC on the "My Profile" tab of the Customer Portal.

How can I tell whether my FASTag KYC is incomplete?

According to the IHML website: You will get notification by email, SMS, or the issuing bank's application interface if your FASTag KYC is incomplete. We kindly request that you periodically check the SMS, email, and other registered contact channels for updates.


The following process can be used to update the KYC online:

For FASTag issued by NHAI
1. Visit https://fastag.ihmcl.com
2. Login
3. Update KYC Online

For FASTag issued by different banks
1. Visit website - https://www.netc.org.in/request-fornetc-fastag
2. Under Request for NETC FASTag, Select your FASTag issuer bank and click on the visit website link.
3. Login to respective FASTag issuer bank
4. Update KYC Online.
