How to Pay Jaipur Property Tax Online?


The civic authority that collects property tax from property owners in Jaipur is the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC), also known as Jaipur Nagar Nigam. The city has 250 wards, of which 100 are in the Jaipur Heritage area and 150 are in the Greater Jaipur area. Property owners in the city, whether residential or non-residential, have to pay their urban development tax or property tax to the JMC. Citizens have the option of paying their Jaipur property tax either online through the JMC portal or offline at the local municipal office.


How to Pay Jaipur Property Tax Online?

To pay Jaipur urban development tax and the house tax online, follow these steps:

- Visit the official website of Jaipur Municipal Corporation: http://jaipurmc.org/Jp_HomePagemain.aspx.
- On the home page, find the ‘Online Citizen Services’ tab and click on ‘Urban Development Tax’.
- Choose the correct option from the ‘Urban Local Bodies’ list and enter your service number in the field provided.
- You will see your property details, such as address and floor details. To view your tax ledger, click on ‘View Ledger’. To pay the urban development tax, click on ‘Pay UD Tax’. To pay the house tax, click on ‘Pay House Tax’.
- The next page will show you the amount of property tax you need to pay. Click on ‘Proceed To Pay Online’ to continue.
- You will be taken to the payment screen. Select the appropriate payment gateway and complete the payment process.

How to pay Jaipur Nagar Nigam urban development tax / house tax through offline mode?

If you live in Jaipur and want to pay your house tax offline, you can do so by following these steps. First, go to the municipal office that is responsible for your area. Second, provide the details of your Jaipur property tax invoice. Third, pay the amount at the cash counter. You will get a receipt as proof of your tax payment.

Jaipur property tax self-assessment

If you want to do a self-assessment of your property tax, you can use the official portal of JMC. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Go to the homepage and click on ‘Urban Development Tax Self Assessment’.
  • You will be redirected to the Rajasthan Municipal official website. Select the urban local body that you belong to from the drop-down list.
  • On the next page, fill in the new assessment form with your property details, such as ward number, area name, road type, plot area, plinth area, address, owner details, floor details, and so on. Click on ‘Add’ when you are done.
