Delhi Metro today launched a 'WhatsApp-based Ticketing Service' for travel on the Airport Express Line (AEL), further improving commuters' travel experiences in an easy-to-use digital format. Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC, launched the service from Metro Bhawan in the presence of other top executives.
With the launch of this feature, AEL passengers will now be able to utilize WhatsApp Chatbot-based QR Code tickets from their cellphones. This feature will make commuting more efficient and seamless for commuters, particularly national and international travelers using AEL, as they can now purchase and use tickets generated in their phone itself via a dedicated WhatsApp chatbot (available in English and Hindi) at their convenience.
Indians will be able to buy Delhi Metro tickets using WhatsApp. The solution was established in collaboration with PeLocal Fintech Private Limited and is now under trial.
