How to activate LIC WhatsApp services?

LIC Whatsapp Registration - Now good news for all LIC policy holders as the big isurance giant is now on whatsapp to serve its crores of customers. LIC has said that “Policyholders who have registered their Policies on the LIC Portal will be able to make use of the above mentioned services on WhatsApp." From their registered mobile number, policyholders must text ‘Hi’ on mobile no. 8976862090. The following screen will assist policyholders in accessing the aforementioned services, from which they may pick the desired service by selecting one of the options.

How to register LIC policy on the official LIC portal?

  • Visit www.licindia.in and Click on “Customer Portal”
  • If you have not registered earlier for Customer Portal, click on “New user”
  • Provide the following details:
  • Visit www.licindia.in, click on the tab “new User”, select your own user-id and password and provide all the necessary information. Now you are a registered Portal user.
  • Click the "e-Services" tab, log in using the user ID you created, and register your policies for using the e-services by filling out the provided form.
  • Print the form, sign it and upload the scanned image of the form.
  • Upload the scanned image of PAN Card or Aadhaar Card or Passport.
  • After verification by LIC offices, an acknowledgement e-mail and SMS will be sent to you. Now you are ready to avail LIC's e-services.
  • Click on Submit button
  • Choose the user id and password of your choice and submit.
  • Login and click on the option of ‘Basic Services’ >“Add Policy”
  • Enrol all your remaining policies.
