A Bank locker facility is an important service by the bank provided to its customers. Lockers are used to keep important documents, jewellery, loan papers, savings bonds, and other items safe. High-security features and specially designed strong rooms are installed in branches with lockers. For this service, banks charge a fee based on the size of the locker. Bank locker charges depends on the locker size and location (urban, rural, or metro). When the locker is assigned, the customer who operates locker will be given a copy of the locker agreement. So let's know what are the charges for SBI, HDFC, PNB, ICICI, Axis and Canara bank lockers:

SBI Locker charges

SBI locker fees comes in between Rs 500 and Rs 3,000, based on location and locker size. In metro and metropolitan areas, small lockers cost Rs 2,000, medium size lockers cost Rs 4,000, large bank lockers cost Rs 8,000, and extra-large SBI bank locker cost Rs 12,000. In semi-urban and rural areas, the bank charges Rs 1,500 for small size locker, Rs 3,000 for a medium one, Rs 6,000 for a large one and extra-large SBI bank lockers cost Rs 9,000.

HDFC Bank locker charges

HDFC Bank locker fees comes in between Rs 3,000 to Rs 20,000 per year, based on size, availability, and location. In metro and urban areas, HDFC Bank locker cost Rs 3,000 for small size, Rs 5,000 for medium-sized lockers, and Rs 10,000 for large lockers .

ICICI Bank locker charges

A small-size locker in ICICI Bank costs between Rs 1,200 and Rs 5,000, and an extra-large locker costs between Rs 10,000 and Rs 22,000 and these prices do not include GST.

PNB Locker charges

In rural and semi-urban areas, PNB locker charges more than Rs 1,250 for a year. Bank fees in urban and metropolitan areas range from Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000.

Axis Bank locker charges

Axis Bank charges Rs 1,000 + GST for initial Locker registration. Free locker visits per month is limited to three; and then each visit costs Rs 100 + GST.

Canara Bank locker charges

The one-time locker registration fee at Canara Bank branches is Rs 400 plus GST. Service charge for operating locker is free for the first 12 visits per year, after which there will be a charge of Rs 100 per visit plus GST.
