ITR Last Date 2022-23 - 31st July 2022, File your ITR Now, Don’t wait till July 31

ITR Last Date 2022-23 - The last day for filing income tax return (ITR) for the financial year 2021-22 (FY22) is coming soon. July 31 is the due date to file the annual ITR. A short extension to the last date could be considered by the Income Tax department as in the previous years, the ITR deadline has been extended almost every year.

Though, Income Tax department tweeted "Please don’t wait till the last date. File today." Have you filed your ITR yet? Due date to file ITR (AY 2022-23) for salaried taxpayers & non-auditable cases is 31st July 2022.
Earlier this month, the department tweeted that there are glitches in the tax portal because of irregular traffic. It has been noticed that taxpayers are facing issues in accessing ITD e-filing portal. As informed by @Infosys, the… 

Some of the types of ITR forms are ITR-1, ITR-2, ITR-3, ITR-4 and ITR-5. Individuals need to make sure they are filing the correct form applicable to them.
Although income tax laws allow individuals to file ITR after the deadline passes, a penalty between Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000 might be levied on salaried individuals.
