Steps to Pay MCD Property Tax online
Following are the steps you need to follow in order to :
- Visit the official website of MCD here - https://mcdonline.nic.in/
- On the home page, choose and select between North Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, or East Delhi Municipal Corporation for which the property tax needs to be paid.
- As you select one of the option, page redirects after you click on Online Services.
- Now under the page heading Online Services, hover your mouse over Property Tax and click Citizen Login.
- A new page opens, now Login using your Mobile Number and OTP or Using Login ID and Password.
- Suppose you entered your mobile number clicked Generate OTP, then you get the message "OTP generated successfully and valid for 3 minutes".
- Now enter OTP you received on your mobile in the space provided and click Login.
- After successful login, you will be greeted with a big message at the top which says "Welcome to Property Tax Online Service".
- Click on Property Tax.
- You will be shown this message, "Please pay your Property tax through UPIC. Payment of property tax and filling of property tax return cannot be done from old ID."
- Click OK.
- Your Registered Property Details will be displayed on the screen which you can use to pay property tax in Delhi.

How to make Property Tax Payment Online if your Property Details are displayed after Search:
These are the steps for Property Tax Online Payment Delhi:
- If you are able to see your Property details on the screen like UPIC number, Property Type, Owner Name and Type, Address, Status, Registered on and Action, just click on the green button Action.
- Then click on Use this Property to Pay Tax.
- Select Financial Year to Pay Tax, select this year's 2022-2023 and click Submit.
- Tax calculation details will be displayed on the screen.
- Kindly check if all the details are fine, if not go back and enter the correct details.
- If all the details are good to go, then click on Download PDF button at the bottom.
- All the property details will then be saved in a pdf file
- Then click Pay Tax.
- Online Payment page opens where you will see your Application reference number along with Total Amount.
- Choose any Payment Gateway among the listed ones and click green button "Pay Now".
- On the next screen, you will see options to pay property tax in Delhi between Credit/Debit Cards, Net banking or UPI.
- After successful payment of MCD property tax, Success screen appears where all the transaction details will be displayed like transaction number, amount, reeipt number, payment mode, bank name.
- You will be shown a message, "Payment successful with transaction number, UPIC number and Financial Year.
- Click on Action green button and click Tax Paid details.
- Tax Payment Detail for UPIC number popup screen opens.
- You will see here the financial year, receipt number, tax amount, paid on date, paid by, type and Action.
- Click on Action button and then click Download Receipt.
- Delhi MCD Property tax receipt will download which you can save and take printout for your use.
How to make Property Tax Payment Online if your Property Details are not displayed after Search:
If you are not able to see your property details, you will see a message, "Please search your already registered property or register new property for calculation and tax payment."
If your Property details are not displayed on the screen after Login, then do this:
Click the button Search Property on UPIC
Search Property Details page opens. There are 4 ways to search your property.
Enter your UPIC or Property ID if you have been allotted earlier. Click on Search.
or
Enter Receipt Number of Tax Paid and Year of Tax Paid. Click Search
or
Enter Colony and Owner Name and click Search
or
Enter Address and click Search
You must get your ID/UPIC details after the search property criteria. If you are not able to get your property details with this, go back and click on "Register New Property" button if you don't have a previous UPIC number. Then click on Apply for New UPIC.
Apply UPIC page opens.
Make sure you have no UPIC allotted earlier for this property prior to applying for a new UPIC. Also, search your property papers, previous G-8/tax paid receipts if any. If you are sure there is no UPIC allotted earlier for your property, then proceed forward to fill the form for new UPIC.
