The Municipal Corporation of Delhi launched a new mobile application to pay property tax online for Delhi. Now people of Delhi will have a sigh of relief as paying Delhi property tax online via a mobile app is an added facility after the MCD official property tax website is fully functional and operational since long.
Now its easy for the Delhiites to pay property tax anytime, anywhere from the comfort of their home or office and can also download the property tax receipt for Delhi properties. The new app can be used to make payment for all three city corporations — North Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, East Delhi Municipal Corporation.
South Delhi Municipal corporation said that in order to facilitate property taxpayers, the new mobile application has been launched to provide an easy, hassle-free platform for property taxpayers during the Covid pandemic.
Citizens of Delhi can now make their Delhi property tax payment online while using their mobile app. The SDMC, the nodal agency for all three corporations (South, North and East) for this work, has developed the application with the help of National Informatics Centre (NIC).
People who wish to download the mobile app can click on the link to the app available at the corporation's website — mcdonline.nic.in — and can also download mcdonline mobile app with the help of a QR code.
How to download MCD Mobile app?
- Visit the official website of MCD here - https://mcdonline.nic.in/
- Enter any of the 3 corporation website by clicking "Online Services"
- Online Services page opens
- Hover your mouse on MCD's Mobile App and click MCD Mobile App.
- Click on User Manual under Support
- A detailed information on how to install and use the MCD app can be seen.
- Click on MCD App for Android or iOS.
NOTE: Individuals who pay their full property tax for the current financial year in one go are eligible for a 15% refund on the overall tax amount. Senior citizens, women, ex-servicemen, and physically disabled people are eligible for a 30 percent property tax reduction on a single property up to 200 square metres. The last date to pay property tax in Delhi every year is by the 30th of June, sometimes which is extended by a month or so.
General Instructions for MCD Property Tax Payment
Login → Enter registered mobile number → Validate generated OTP and Login.
Registered Property Details → Click PayTax for the desired UPIC → Select Financial Year & than Submit.
Pay Tax through Digital Payment → Check your Tax Calculations for Selected FY and Pay Tax using any mode of Online Payment.
Download Tax Receipts Use Tax Paid Details option & Click Download Receipt.
