With Amazon Pay, you can pay your online utility bills easily. You can generate a UPI ID with Amazon app for a comfortable shopping experience and a hassle-free way of making payments.

Amazon India does not have a different app for payments. Amazon Pay option is integrated with Amazon App only and is similar to other UPI based payment platforms like PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, or any other BHIM UPI. 

Making electricity bill payments was never easier and you might be from any state of India, you can find your biller on the Amazon app and make electricity bill payments using your Amazon Pay balance, Net banking, credit/debit card, and UPI. Below we have given some steps to be done in order to pay electricity bills using Amazon Pay:

How to Pay Electricity Bill through Amazon Pay

These are the steps one needs to take in order to pay electricity bill through Amazon:
  • Open the Amazon Pay app on your smartphone.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the screen and find the Pay Bills menu.
  • Click on the specific utility biller for which you want to pay on the Amazon Pay page that opens. 
  • Select the state and the power company whose payment you want to make.
  • After selecting the power biller, enter the account details and tap on the ‘Fetch Bill’ option.
  • Now pay electricity bill using the UPI PIN.

Please note that only bill payments of up to the value of Rs. 25,000 are allowed on Amazon. It means that any bill order of Rs. 25,000 or above will not be processed. Rs. 25,000 as a biller limit is applicable across the website to all bill payment-related categories, including that of the electricity.
