Register yourself through the Rail Connect app if you have not already done so before you begin to use the app. In order to book Indian Railways train ticket on your smartphone through Rail Connect app, follow these steps:

  • Download and Install IRCTC Rail Connect app. Register yourself if not done so and Login using your just created credentials.

  • Click on Plan My Journey on the homepage. Enter departure station and destination station information, the date on which you wish to travel, and click on Search Trains.

  • A list of trains, their timing of departure, and the available (or non-availability) of trains will be displayed. You can check availability for all classes like Sleeper class, A/C, and more.

  • Click on the class will give you the price of the ticket. After you have finalised the train and class, click on Passenger Details.

  • You can add a maximum of up to six adults and two infants in one booking. IRCTC will also ask for the destination address as well. Enter the details and accept the terms and conditions by clicking on the check boxes. Click on Review Journey Details.

  • Go through the train information, the class booked, and the passenger information. Click on Proceed after you are sure for all the details to Pay on the next screen by entering the CAPTCHA code at the bottom of the page.

  • Pay using your mobile wallets, debit card, credit card, or net banking. After the payment for train tickets is completed, users can find their tickets in the transaction history and/or under My Bookings.
