EPF Balance Check Online, How to Check Online PF Balance

EPF Balance Check Online: The Employees' Provident Fund (EPFO) has credited interest in the EPF accounts for FY2019-20. The Government of India has credited 8.5 per cent EPF interest to various accounts. So, its important for each and every EPF account holder to know one's EPF account balance. For this you can visit online by logging in at the official website of the EPFO — epfindia.gov.in. However, there are three more ways too to check one's EPF account balance.

EPF balance check at EPFO portal

To view your Provident Fund (PF) passbook on the EPFO portal — epfindia.gov.in — you need to have your EPF account tagged with your Universal Account Number (UAN). A person can download or print one's EPF passbook from the official website by following these steps:

Log in at EPFO portal — http://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php


Click at 'For Employees' under 'Services'


Click at 'Member Passbook' under 'Services'


You will be redirected at passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/Login.jsp where you can Sign in with your UAN and Password details and your EPF account balance will be displayed.



    Important
    1. This facility is to view the Member Passbook for the members registered on the Unified Member Portal.
    2. Passbook will be available after 6 Hours of registration at Unified Member Portal.
    3. Changes in the credentials at Unified Member Portal will be effective at this Portal after after 6 Hours.
    4. Passbook will have the entries which has been reconciled at the EPFO field offices.
    5. Passbook facility not be available for the Exempted Establishments Members / Settled Members / InOperative Members.

EPF balance check through Umang App


 
EPF account holders can view their PF balance on mobile phones through the Umang app which was launched by the government of India to provide access to various government services in a single place. View EPF Passbook, raise a claim or track EPF or PF Claim using this app. For this, the EPF account holder needs to complete a one-time registration using its phone number.

EPF balance check via SMS

You can get the details of PF balance by sending an SMS to 7738299899 if EPF account holder's UAN is registered with the EPFO. You need to send this message: EPFOHO UAN ENG. 'ENG' is the first three characters of the preferred language. So, if one wants to receive the message in Marathi, then one will have to type in EPFOHO UAN MAR.

The EPF balance check online sms facility is available in 10 languages - English (default), Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali. The SMS must be sent from the registered mobile number of UAN.

EPF balance check through missed call

EPF Balance Check Online missed call number - You can give a missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number if your EPF account is registered on the UAN portal, and this will display the details of PF account latest contribution and balance. Your UAN must be seeded with your bank account number, Aadhaar card number and PAN.
