What is Jio Fiber?
Jio Fiber is a fibre-to-the-home internet broadband service is provided by Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio Infocomm. The service was first named as Jio GigaFiber in 2018 which was renamed to Jio Fiber at commercial launch on September 5, 2019.

Nitin Soni, director (corporates) at global rating company Fitch said, "Jio’s broadband user base may increase up to the “10 million mark in two years” on the strength of “the company’s market execution, distribution reach and retail footprint.” Currently, there are approx 800,000 JioFiber users and Jio is targetting customers to opt for both its 4G mobility and fibre broadband services, boosting company's growth and revenue.
India's broadband market has around 18 million customers, in which almost 9 million are with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited. 2.35 million home broadband users was reported in September quarter for Airtel.
Jio, is targeting “20 million homes and 16 million enterprises across 1,600 towns and aims to complete this in 12-18 months.” With Airtel 10 million homes are connected on its broadband network, with 2.35 million user base.

You need to submit your details like address, name and mobile number. An OTP will be sent on your mobile, after that a Jio executive will visit your place to verify all information.
Jio Fiber cable TV:
Cable TV service will be given under a separate payment subscription plan through the cable fiber or DTH. Jio will also offer free Set Top Box for the cable service. Gaming, video calling Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality services are also provided by Jio.

How to Register for Jio Fiber Registration Online?
If you want to register for Jio Fiber, you can do that easily with the following steps:
Visit the official website of Jio for Jio Fiber registration online here - https://www.jio.com/registration
Enter your address for Jio Fiber connection. By default, Reliance Corporate Park, MIDC, Navi Mumbai address will be displayed. You need to click on Change link in order to enter your address. Delete the prefilled address of Reliance Jio Park and enter your address to get Jio Fiber service. Click on Submit. Choose between Home address and Work address.
Click on Confirm.
Now enter your personal details like your Name, Mobile number and Email id.
Select your Jio Fiber plan from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, Titanium.
By default, I accept Terms and Conditions check box will be selected. Here it's written that you are inviting JioFiber to your neighbourhood, Your data shall be governed by the Privacy Policy mentioned on the Jio.com website and WhatsApp assistance would be enabled for you.
Click on Generate OTP button.
On the next screen, you will need to enter the OTP received on your mobile number.
After successful verification of your phone number, the Jio Fiber registration process is completed.
A message will be displayed that you will receive a call from Jio's sales representative for subsequent process.Documents like Aadhaar card or any other original valid proof of identification and proof of address like voter id card, PAN card, passport, driving licence, etc. will be required to get the Jio Gigafiber registration.
Jio Fiber Installation
After the Jio Fiber registration process is completed online and the Jio Fiber service is available in your area, an installation engineer will soon visit your home to install the Jio Fiber broadband system. Reliance Jio has stated on its website that Jio Fiber installation will be free during the initial rollout phase but after the rollout phase is over, you will need to buy Reliance Jio Fiber Broadband plans. As part of initial roll out Jio is offering complimentary JioFiber installation and connection to all customers. There are no additional installation charges presently except the refundable security deposit. Jio Fiber broadband connection activation is within two hours. You will also get a free landline for making voice calls alongwith the Jio Fiber broadband connection.

Yes, Jio Fiber Security deposit is refundable. If you choose to cancel JioFiber services anytime, you are eligible for a refund of the security deposit amount provided the installed devices are returned in good and working condition. The refund may take upto 60 days from the date of cancellation and will be processed through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) in your account
