The Delhi Development Authority Housing Scheme 2019 draw is expected to take place on July 23. The DDA Housing Scheme 2019 has received 47,000 applications, mostly coming in for Vasant Kunj and Narela as the first and second most preferred choices respectively.
DDA Housing Scheme 2019 was launched on March 25 and was to close on May 10, 2019 but later the DDA extended the closing date for registration by a month. Out of the 17,922 flats, Vasant Kunj has 1,286, including 336 three-bedroom ones. Mostly the flats on offer are located in Narela, more of them the one-bedroom ones (8,164 in total). The three-bedroom flats are offered in the range of Rs 1.4 crore to Rs 1.7 crore; two-bedroom flats in the price range of Rs 66 lakh and Rs 1.4 crore, and one-bedroom flats coming in the price range of Rs 22.5 lakh to Rs 56.3 lakh.
DDA Vice-Chairman Tarun Kapoor said, "The DDA 2019 housing draw will be held on July 23. We have invited a retired judge to oversee the draw and the exact date depends on his availability."
He said that DDA has received 47,000 applications. It is the fact of the matter that applications for Vasant Kunj are far more and next place is Narela where people have opted for HIG (high-income group) houses. The Vice Chairman of DDA also said, "The number of applications seems to be small but that is because people have filled various location choices. If you leave aside EWS (economically weaker sections), it seems that DDA will be able to sell all the flats in other categories. Narela as a second choice has also been opted by people from LIG (low-income group) category".
For those who are buying the homes for the first-time, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) benefit would also be given under the DDA 2019 Housing Scheme. This year the application process for the DDA 2019 Scheme was online with fee payment, uploading of scanned photograph and scanned signature and there was no need to fill any offline form.
13 banks were involved in the process. The registration fee was higher, the maximum being Rs 2 lakh for two and three-bedroom flats. For one-bedroom LIG flat, one has to spend out Rs 1 lakh and for EWS category flats, it was Rs 25,000. After the DDA 2019 Draw Result, the registration fee will be refunded to unsuccessful applicants within 5-10 days. one can see the official website of DDA for any news updates regarding this.
