New DDA Housing Scheme Completely Online, dda.org.in

DDA’s upcoming housing scheme is going to be completely online from now onwards, DDA this time plans to provide as many payment options to applicants as possible.

“During the DDA 2014 housing scheme, applicants and successful allottees had the option to pay both online or offline. This time, the entire DDA scheme is going online and so there would be a lot of payment options,” said a senior DDA official working on the scheme.

Apart from the usual net banking and RTGS facilities, housing scheme applicants and allottees might also get the option to pay through mobile-based applications and digital payment gateways. “Digital payment gateways have become quite popular with users and that is why we are trying to incorporate that option in the DDA's new housing scheme. This will make the process of DDA housing scheme as smooth for the applicants and allottees as easy and comfortable as possible. These options will be provided by the banks who will tie-up with the DDA and would not be by the DDA directly.”

The DDA held a meeting with senior representatives of major national and private banks to discuss the modalities of payment, sources said. Previously, applicants registering for DDA housing scheme had to submit the registration money at a bank and then deposit the receipt and the application form at the DDA’s office. It was a lot of hassles and endless queues for applicants at banks and the DDA office. So, from now onwards, this is surely be over as the new DDA housing scheme comes in 2016-2017.
