Pay Stamp Duty Online UP @ igrsup.gov.in, Pay Stamp and Registration Fees Uttar Pradesh
The property registration process is even more easier as the UP government announced e-payment of stamp duty in the state. Pay registration and stamp fees online on property transactions in Uttar Pradesh via net banking and debit cards. A notification has been issued by Stamp and Registration department which allows people to directly transfer the fees into the state treasury.
Rajesh Kumar Yadav, ADM, G BNagar said, "Now people can pay the stamp duty, registration fee or any other charges online. The payment will be directly transferred to the state exchequer. This will make the payment system easy and transparent".
The users who wish to pay the stamp duty online in Uttar Pradesh may first visit the district registration department where they will get a slip for payment of stamp duties. Then the users can log in to the website -- http://igrsup.gov.in/ after which they can make the stamp duty online payment and get a receipt. The stamp duty payment receipt shall be submitted in the registration department.
After which the sub-registrar will verify the payment and complete the registration process. As this is the new e-payment system, it's expected to reduce the time for registration. Now gone are the days when people had to wait for several hours in the queue for stamp duty payment. Thus this system will help bring more transparency in the system.
The system also allows users to return their payment if they want. If it happens, people can forward the application to the office of the concerned sub-registrar. The sub registrar, after verification shall forward it to the assistant commissioner (stamp) of the district. The assistant commissioner (stamp) will then complete the procedure.
Principal Secretary (Stamp and Registration) Anil Kumar said, "As security testing of the software is underway, the system of e-payments will be readily available to the general public from next week”.
