DDA Housing Scheme Draw Result 2014

The wait for the lucky draw for Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) flagship ‘Housing Scheme 2014’ is over and the DDA lucky draw is being held today i.e 25th November 2014 for the allotment of flats. The results for this huge lucky draw is awaited by over 10 lakh applicants who applied for houses under this scheme.

The process started at 11.30 am and completed in less than two hours. The randomisation of data starts at 9 am and less than two hours is required to complete. The final lucky draw for the DDA flats begins at 11.30 am and will go for about an hour and 45 minutes. Along with the randomisation process of flats allotment, a live webcast of the draw of lots will also run simultaneously  by the DDA-the live process can be seen at ddadrawlive.in .

DDA had earlier decided to hold the lucky draw on November 5, then on November 17, but due to technical glitches, the draw result was not available at that time. Now the DDA has fully released the lucky draw results of the DDA Housing scheme 2014.

According to DDA , mock draw of lots took “around 8-9 hours” due to the “large number of applicants,  multiple category of flats (more than four), multiple preferences for locations (34) and multiple reservations (SC, ST, persons with disability, ex-servicemen and war widow)”. As the technical glitches are over now and the database has been optimised, the draw results process is smoother.

C-DAC, which conducted the lucky draw result for DDA’s housing scheme in 2010, has been called this time also.

The DDA Housing Scheme offers 25,034 flats — EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG, Janta flats and one-room apartments. The 22,627 one-bedroom apartments are a major draw for people and the DDA has received over 10 lakh applications for the DDA flats. The price range of these DDA flats are from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 1.2 crore.

DDA will refund the registration fee (Rs 1 lakh) to all those applicants who had paid on their own through the bank branch wherein they had deposited the application form but are unsuccessful in getting the flats. The bank will dispatch refunded amount cheques to the applicants.

Those who are allotted the flats in this flagship DDA Housing Scheme 2014 have the option to surrender the flat before the issue of possession letter from the DDA. Allotment will be automatically cancelled in case the payment is not made within the prescribed period. And the amount deposited will be refunded without interest.
