DDA Housing Scheme 2014 Starts September 1

Now your dreams of owning a house in Delhi is over as your dream could soon become a reality. The DDA housing scheme 2014 promises to provide thousands of flats for the general public in which all Indian citizens above 18 yrs of age are eligible to apply.

In the recently announced, Delhi Development Authority`s (DDA) 2014 housing scheme, more than 25,000 flats are being offered and most of them are LIG flats of single-bedroom apart from the MIG and HIG flats. These DDA flats, have been built based on the green technology, and most of the DDA flats are located in areas like Rohini, Dwarka and Narela.

A total of 25,034 flats are available and the registrations for these flats starts September 1 till October 9. After the date for the registration of the DDA flats is over i.e october 9, a draw will be held after a span of 15 to 20 days. To make the general public left with no doubts and making transparency in the flats allotment process, DDA has appointed an independent agency along with a judge. There are no reservations for the Delhi residents in allotment of flats.

The DDA flats (LIG, MIG and HIG) allottement will be done latest by March 2015 and after one year, DDA will give possession to the successfully selected people.

22,627 flats are two-room sets having one bedroom and a drawing room with a price tag range between Rs 14 to 22 lakhs among the total 25,034 flats. This DDA 2014 housing scheme also includes 700 EWS (economically weaker section) flats, which has been constructed by a private developer.

Among various categories, DDA will also allot 811 old flats with complete renovation done at different locations in Delhi . To apply for the DDA flats in the DDA housing scheme 2014, one must has attained the age of 18 years and the applicant must provide PAN Card and Aadhar Card along with the application form for DDA flats. One more thing to note is that the applicant should not have any property in Delhi in his name neither any joint property as well.

If you wish to apply for the DDA flats housing scheme 2014, you have to deposit Rs 1 lakh as registration amount refundable if the flat is not allotted to the applicant. The EWS flats has registration amount as Rs 10,000. This time there has been a major change in the DDA allotment process as this time the registrations are available online only. This ensures transparency in the DDA flats allotment process. DDA has tied up with 13 banks for payment of the registration amount. There is no file and challan system as it was used to be earlier.

No documents are required other than PAN Card and Aadhar Card to be submitted while applying online for DDA new housing scheme. Only one application form along with registration money of Rs 1 lakh or Rs. 10000 is to be submitted whichever is the case. DDA housing scheme 2014 Brochures are available with banks and on the official website of DDA.

The DDA will enter into a registered agreement with successful applicants only after a five-year lock-in period.
