Power subsidy scheme to continue in Delhi The Delhi Government extend its Rs 1,600-crore flagship power subsidy scheme for the financial year 2017-18. People of Delhi who consumes up to 400 units get 50% subsidy on their delhi electricity bill payment online be it  ndpl bill payment online or  bses bill pay online . Rs 2194-crore has been allocated for the generation of Delhi's solar power, providing incentives to consumers for domestic solar power generation. These proposals had already bee announced earlier. Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said, "All government buildings which have a rooftop area of more than 500sq m must install a solar power unit." Pay Jaipur Electricity Bill Online to get incentive says Jaipur Discom 100 will be selected through a lottery system for bills not exceeding Rs 20,000. Jaipur Discom is ready to provide incentive to consumers who pay their bills online. To encourage digitalisation, online payment of JVVNL bill will fetch consumers an incentive. As per the plan, a lottery system would be undertaken wherein selected 100 consumers will be given an incentive of Rs 5,000. The bill amount must not exceed Rs20,000 is the only condition. "The plan is a part of the Jaipur discom discussion and we want to encourage consumers to pay Jaipur electricity bill online via digital mode which would eventually reduce our other costs.” said, Managing director of Jaipur discom RG Gupta. Power subsidy turns cash, will go to bank accounts in Chennai Power consumers in Chennai will soon get their power subsidy credited into their bank accounts just as the same procedure applies to that of cooking gas subsidies. Tangedco has submitted a proposal to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) for crediting power subsidy to bank accounts of benefitting consumers. After the approval from the TNERC, it would be introduced as a pilot project in Chennai. As per a senior Tangedco official, "Power subsidy must be deposited directly into the consumer's bank account as per the smart city proposal. Chennai would be the first city in the country where consumers will have this facility, if the plan is approved.
